A. In integers it would be 999 If you allow decimal fractions, it becomes a more interesting question. The more 9's you put after the decimal point, the larger it becomes: 999.9 999.99 999.999 999.999 etc. Getting closer and closer to 1000. If you allow for an infinite number of 9's after the decimal point, then the value is equal to 1000. But probably 999 is the intended answer.
